flat sound from rear suspension on one side e class

got new mot done on friday , e series merc 2000 reg estate petrol >> saturday got flat bumpy affect from rear suspension right hand side only. sounds like exhuast banging on body but it isnt , anybody any clues please . ?>>>>> ps only when i go over uneven road surface ,

thanks sir , but i dont think ive got that kinda suspension ....ie ( self levelling ) would it still have a sphere on plain ordinary knock about suspension ?

I thought all E class estates had SLS?

Someone more knowledgeable will be along, no doubt ..

sls not fitted on this shed . ive had very old proper mercs with sls ,, these were made on the cheap !.. rot boxes really . elegance ha ha ! i do like its retro look though ,, thanks on thought ..dave

Dave, you do have SLS...all E class estates do. It is hydraulic, with spheres as stated above.

It could be the heat shield above the rear silencer...they come loose.

Rear subframe bushes are a possibility.

It's common for the roll bar brackets rot and come adrift from the body of the vehicle.
