Hello all
My left hand front fog lamp glass suffered a stone hit and became smashed, however managed to pick up a replacement from my local EuroCarParts today (for a surprisingly pleasant £9-40). Car is a '99 CLK 230 Kompressor, W208.

Will have a go at replacing it this weekend and my question is this, will I have to completely remove all of the entire plastic front bumper assembly, and the black plastic bash-plate thingy on the underside of the bumper? Or is there a less hassle way of doing it, could I get away with just removing the black plastic plate which covers the underside of the front left corner under the bumper, to access the fog lamp?

Ta for any help/guidance.

Neil.

Yes all you should need to do is remove the cover below the fog light, under the bumper and you will be able to remove unit and replace len lens. The unit is held in place by two 8mm screws at the top each side.

Okey doke, sounds like a fairly straight forward job then.

Thank you kindly.

Neil.
