Fog lamps

I've got so many questions about this car I'm trying to limit the number of things I post, but the electrics seem to be top of my list at the moment.
On my car the fog lamps are built in to the headlamp cluster (so I understand). The light switch has 5 positions (park left,park right,off,sidelights,headlights) and can also be pulled into two additional positions. Are these supposed to turn the foglights on? There's no discernable effect when I do pull the switch.

Hi Simon,

In the side light position or head lamp position, then pull the switch one click for the front, two clicks to put on the rear. There will be only one fog lamp at the rear the os.
