Made no difference to mine guys, but best of luck on yours.
which flavour ?Made no difference to mine guys, but best of luck on yours.
That was my point, it prevented nothing on mine.Merely a preventative measure for most ,buddy .
Too little to late perhaps ?That was my point, it prevented nothing on mine.
You might be spot on, just a pity Adblue problems are only getting publicity now. I suppose if we'd known at the start we'd never have bought them.Too little to late perhaps ?
this additive isn't going to make 7+ years of crystallisation go away over night - I expect its a 12 month process at best
as its exactly the same issue gout - as far as I'm aware - it takes a big change in behaviours and diet and a long time with the right drugs to make headway - and again much like gout, some are more susceptible that others - does anyone really think merc didn't spend billions on designing it to make owners lives a misery and a costly experience
30 years working for this tye of corporation and you get quite some insight - they aren't leading things in a healthy way , just slowly and surely in one way, with one ambition
Interestingly the service schedule for the Land Rover Discovery 4 MY16 onwards has this item in it, starting from the two year, 32,000 mile service:
“Drain the DEF tank if the vehicle has covered less than 16,000 miles (26,000 km) in 2 years”
As my D4 is will be somewhat short of 16k miles in two years I'll have the tank drained & refilled at the next service., but I am inclined not to bother with additives in the interim.
NJSS
Interested if that works, in my experience the faults normally start at 30,000 miles and thereafter.I double dosed with the additive , it's all running nicely at the moment. 6 years on and 27000 miles .
