Franchised dealer or MB Direct for warranty issues?

I recently noticed that my 57 plate A Class makes a slight rubbing noise from the RNS wheel, which I guess is probably a sticking caliper, and I shall need to get it looked at. Now, I bought the car from MB Direct, Birmingham, and, ordinarily, as the supplying dealer, I would return the car to them to sort the fault out. However, to get to them I actually drive passed MB Direct, Balsall Common, and, while I've read mixed opinions of them on this forum, it would be a lot easier for me to drop it in to them as they are very close - 6 miles away as opposed to 19 miles to Birmingham. Alternatively, I have two MB main dealers close at hand as well - Stratford upon Avon and Solihull. I have no experience of Mercedes Benz dealers at all, apart from that of the sales staff when I was looking for my car earlier in the year, so I'd be interested in opinions as to whether I should take my car back to the supplying MB Direct dealer - not a major hassle - the nearest dealer - another MB Direct and close to home - or a nearby franchised dealer?

Thanks in advance.

Personally I'd take it to a main dealer rather than MB direct.

It doesn't matter which one - if it's under warranty you can use any Mercedes dealership

I bought my car up North and used my local dealership in the South East for warranty work.

Yes, take it back to the main dealer, they have the full equipment/diagnostics for everything whereas MB Direct cannot do everything and tend to cut corners imho.

I've used MB Solihull and they were pretty good.

Thanks, both.

I've just rung MB Solihull to check on opening hours and they volunteered to come and collect the car. As I'm unable to drive at the moment (recuperating from knee surgery - again!) that is ideal and I've now booked it in.
