I went to england for the weekend. They seem to have a load of road signs that flash at you, all powered by wind things or solar panels. Is there anything stopping you stopping your car and lifting these things?

I think one solar panel and one wind generator will be enough to heat my swimming pool. I will still have a lot of LEDs left over.

I wish you would, I hate to think how much of my council tax is paying for these additional road furniture items. We now have one that fires at 30+mph to warn you that there is a 30 limit just down the hill. I always thought the two signposts with 30 limit signs on did that but maybe I'm getting old :-? . If you were to read all the signs now put up you would hardly be able to spend anytime looking at the road and where your going :-?

I'm going down to Shelsley Walsh this weekend. I'll investigate further.

I'm guessing that everything is on top of the pole, so cutting through the pole would be easy and you could take the whole thing away for further investigation.

There must also be a movement sensor that could come handy as well.

I've been up Shelsley a few times in my youth - great track but watch the drop on the left.......

There used to be a light up speed sign at the bottom of the hagley mile on the A456. This one didnt flash up the 40mph sign but your actual speed and a slow down warning ! I dont think it lasted too long though for obvious reasons - and it was only two digits !
