Having read another thread can anyone clarify?
Replacement pads for a W168 (168.031). Purchased genuine MB pads supplied in sealed MB box which contains pads, bolts and shims.
Existing pads fitted do not contain shims, According to another website fitting of the shim is only required if a shim was fitted previously - however inside there are no instructions or information, regarding the shims, to establish with which calipers a shim should be used. Does anyone have any information on shims? Does this issue also occur with other models?
Also the part number seems to vary. The Op has pads numbered A168 420 12 20, whilst the textar website quote A168 420 00 20? Does anyone know what the difference in this part number signifies? or for when the penultimate two digits (oo) are 00,12,01,07,14,11? - all seems to fit the same models?
