I have a 1998 w210 e300 td estate. A few weeks ago the fuse in the power socket in the front dash blew due to me plugging in a tyre inflator with an unknown short circuit internally. At the same time the front passenger door electrics (window, mirror and seats) stopped working, I though due to the fuse blowing. 1 week later the same thing happened to the drivers door. I fixed the fuse but this only corrected the power socket problem. I disconnected and then re-connected the battery and this cured the doors. 1 week later, the passenger front door stopped again and 1 week after that the driver’s door stopped.
I have read, in another thread, that the doors have their own control box and that if you disconnect the rear windows the front windows should work again if the door control box is faulty. I have done this but without success.
Everything else is OK as far as I can tell.
Can anyone help? Is this a power regulator problem and if so where is the power regulator?
Any help would be gratefully appreciated
