Hi guys, today i wanted to replace the Xenon bulbs of my 2008 R320. Passegger side all smooth.
Driver side i had some trouble, because there were no clips for the bulb and i had to move the bulb together with the igniter. Also, two out of four of the igniter's hinges (the plastic ones) were already broken, and i finished the job by breaking the other two trying to put It back in place. :)
As a result, the igniter obviously wouldn't stay still in his position, and i had to be creative to find a way to prevent It from moving. I decided to use polyurethanic foam, just a tiny bit to create a "cushion" between the igniter and the case to keep It pushed in his position.
Tomorrow i Will see if i had success. However now i am wondering whether by doing this i interfere with the active light system. So the question Is, what Is the part that moves, the igniter or the lens?

HI, I dont have a R320 or Xenons.
When you say which part moves, what movement are you referring to...?

I was assuming that active light system means that the lights turn when the car turns. So there must be a part that moves inside the headlight assembly, and i was wondering if that Is the bulb (and the igniter) or the lens in front of it.
But i don't know how the system works, so i might make wrong assumptions

Thanks.
Can you see any small electric motor..? If you can spot the motor, then follow it from there.
