Front off-side fog light problem

I have a 1992 230CE. The front off side fog lamp won't work, however the bulb is not broken. I have checked the fuse which is fine.

The faulty light indicator on the dash comes on intermittently which suggests there might be a faulty connection but i don't know where to start looking

Has anyone had a similar problem? Any suggestions/ help would be most appreciated.

Number one the fog lamps do not show up on the bulb failure window.
The fault with the lamp is anything from a broken wire or coroded lamp holder,
its a matter of tracing it through with a simple meter.
