Hi All,

not sure if this has been answered already but does anyone know if it’s possible to turn off the front passenger airbags on a 65 plate E220d cabriolet???
Most cars I’ve owned prior either have a manual key you turn or have an option in the dash menus… can’t seem to find anything on this!
thanks in advance!

It is possible, but only by having an MB child car seat airbag puck. The seat has a wireless sensor that detects the puck; if it’s there the front seat airbag is deactivated. No other way to do it.

I bought one off eBay a few years ago, £40 and works across all of my Mercs.

Here’s one currently on eBay… https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mercedes...=p2349624.m2548.l6249&mkrid=710-127635-2958-0
I knew about the special MB seat but never thought of looking for the sensors separately, that’s a great call! I’ll have a look into those, Thankyou :)

It’s how I started. £250 for a seat? Gtfo! Then… how do they work! And bingo, right, eBay time!
