For the last few days we've had a message come up on the dash like this, anyone any idea if it's anything that could just be ignored or does it mean we should book it in somewhere and pay out shed loads of money? The pic isn't from our actual car as it seems to come on at random times when we haven't been able to take a pic, but the words are the same.

Appears to be an airbag error - could just be the electrical connector to it - best option is to get the codes read with a Mercedes diagnostic tool - that will tell you which airbag isn’t responding correctly.

I suspect that in a UK car that would be the steering wheel airbag, likely caused by a poor connection.
It would be an instant fail at MOT time if not sorted.

Thanks for that, passed it's MOT in March so not due for awhile. Hopefully not an expensive fix as we seem to have spent a lot on the car this year and it's getting a bit old!

Had the same thing on my previous E350 and it was poor connection in steering wheel/airbag. Fixed by PCS in Horndean for very little money/time :)

We took the car in this morning and although at first he thought it was the air bag, once he had read through the diagnostics it seems to be the front seatbelt. Might be caused by the fact that we both drive the car and are constantly moving the seat backwards and forwards. For now he's cleared the fault and if it comes up again we will get it sorted.
