To continue from my previous post concerning the driver's seat lock not working properly, big red warning messages coming up on combimeter etc. The seat back "wobbles" back and forth by ~1/2" at the top when locked, with an audible rattle.

Nothing I can find is interfering with the mechanical seat latch/ locking mechanism at the bottom of the seat base; I can see the locking lugs engage and that all seems fine. So, I've sourced a replacement seat from a breakers- 1stchoice from memory and a good price too.

Question is, how do I remove the old seat and replace with new? I've never had to work on motorised seats before; are there any special procedures to be followed or is it a (relatively) simple unbolt, unplug then "replacement is a reversal of the removal procedure" job?

NB seats are leather, fully adjustable, 5-memory, 2 heating zone.

As always, any comments or suggestions are most welcome- thanks guys!

There could be 5 bolts 10mm holding the seat down, you will need to move the seat for and aft to get to the bolts.

once the bolts are out, tip the seat back and you can get to the connectors. Warning do not turn on the ignition with the seat unplugged or the car will have to go on STAR to turn off the SRS lamp. just unplug and lift out.

DO put a mat over the sill covers, those seat are very heavy.
