Having chopped through the rubber bit at the front recently, bought a new guide for a reasonable £7 from MB Croydon..

To fit it would appear that I need to clip the guide to the extender arm and then spin off the bottom fixing bolt to the belt and simply thread the end of the belt through the rubber guide. Looking at the Russian site the bolt appears to be captive so... can I just undo it without fear of a nut falling off and rattling around the cill...?

Also from preliminary poking about I noticed that behind the plastic cover there is a coil spring and some sort of ratchet to the drivers side - which has fallen off the passenger side - presumably this is to push the belt back out of the way of rear passengers getting in and out - it doesn't appear to be working in any case.

Finally is there anyway of locking the arm in the extended position so I can fiddle with the guides at my leisure.

Cheers in advance,

Ade

BUT did you get the ratchet at the floor to work properly, so that it lies down against the floor and does not get in the way of passengers feet on entering and exiting the rear seats. ????????????????
