I am in the middle of replacing the front wheel bearings (2005 c220) and I am stunned by the amount of grease that has come with the replacement bearings?
The bearings are FAG. I managed to pack the bearings fully with the grease supplied with only a 'tiny' smidge left to smear over the spindle. Whenever I've done wheel bearings before (never on a mercedes), I've always been 'generous' and added plenty in the hub itself to get thrown onto the bearings during operation. Am I wrong with this or is the grease supplied of good enough quality to only need to be enough to pack the bearings and nothing more?
Before I finish up and adjust everything, wanted to check. I don't want to have shot bearings in a thousand miles!
Many Thanks
