Hi all....I have been having an issue with the fuel tank on my C220 CDI W203, the main symptoms being I could only fill the tank with 30 litres of fuel from empty on the guage, but even then the guage would only show 3/4 full. After reading old posts and getting some advice on the subject I was thinking the high pressure fuel pump was to blame however, whilst filling up today I noticed that when I took out the fuel nozzle from the filler in the car there was a gurgling sound, as if the fuel was taking its time to drain into the tank, so I waited, filled some more, gurgled, filled some more etc etc, until I managed to fill the tank:). So I am now thinking that there is an air lock forming, and that the fuel breather pipe might be blocked.....so can anyone tell me where this exits the car so I can give it a clean out?

Cheers

Thanks for that, looks like it vents via the fuel filler aperture, I will give it a poke tomorrow.
