Fuel filler flap

As of today the fuel filler door won't stay shut unless a hold it shut and lock the car the rubber band that goes around the filler cap to the door is actually snapped so that's not in the way at all.
No matter how many times a push on the door it still won't stay shut don't no if there's some sort of magnet missing or what but a can't see how the door would stay shut as there's no latch or catch to keep it close.

I had a feeling that they were sprung, but probably only accessible from the boot area.
The filler cap retention "cord" comes with a new filler cap and push fit fixing. Not expensive, from what I recall.

All the ones I have seen is that there is a sort of sprung loaded spring that holds it closed that doubles as a Fuel Cap Holder.

The rubber band that goes from the door to the cap is snapped on mine so a hooked the band what was left of it onto the back of the door but that's wrong the rubber band has to hang down to work it's a strange carry on but it works.
