Hi guys,
Need some help, just done a mini service on my E300. Air, oil, filters etc and now the thing won't start, I assume its air in the system from the fuel filter change but I can't see how to bleed it. I must be missing a trick, I was expecting a manual pump but can't find it.

Any help greatly appreciated

Hi Noggin, also my mate's nickname by the way.

I assume thats a 124 diesel you have there, whenever i changed my fuel filter i would fill the filter with some ''very'' clean diesel and bolt into place without spilling, not always successful but do try.
I never found a hand primer either, i think you are supposed to just crank the thing until the fuel self bleeds through, but i couldn't be that cruel to the car.

There is a hand screw on top of the filter assembly, do make sure it is tight, as if its loose you can turn the thing over for ever and it won't bleed.

Hope this works for you.

As Juddian above, but cranking it to death is the norm for bleeding them, some didnt have a self prime on them!

Foot flat to the floor and cranked it over till it started, not long actually!
Thanks for the advice.
