Fuel flap loose W212

Opened the fuel flap to fill up, 3 days after MOT. Never had a problem with it but it is now loose and sort of hanging, as if the bottom of the hinge has come off.
Top still attached.
Indie says need whole unit replacing. Same indie who did the MOT.
Don't doubt him but massive coincidence that flap all good until his MOT tester opened it.
Any quick fix?
