Just about to order a fuel pressure test kit . The reason is i have this idea that one fuel pump is redundant . I have been looking on Ebay,, and i can see a small kit, and one thats a lot larger with more bells and whistles . So what kit did you purchased to do the test with .I know i need an adaptor .I know what to purchase with this adaptor so no problem there . Thanks for looking .

Does it have one in the tank and one in-line one?

My first reaction was to look to modify your fuel system. Why 2 pumps, why not one powerful pump to do the same job? Is that possible? Has anybody done it on this model Mercedes?

Gone down the road before .Reason is the pair of fuel pumps are fitted in to all the 260E it is for a good reson,. It stops problems with the fuel delivery no foaming or locks . I would love to get one good fuel pump -cheaper than two as long as it dose the same job. But much better for me to get two fitted .

Many thanks.
Is it possible for you to get a stethescope to the fuel pumps, one at a time, to check which one is not buzzing.
