Mercedes 200E. 1991 please can anyone tell me where my fuel pump relay is I keep being told it's behind the battery but the only two things behind the battery is the box black box which I think is the engine management system and a little square relay with a clear top which lifts up to replace the 10amp fuse. Which I think is the surge protection unit the engine fires up if you squirt fuel into air filter but no fuel at the engine end thanks. M. A Freeman

Is your fuel pump manual thats run off the side of the engine ? Or is it electrical 12 volt pump ?. If electric read on - Dont use any other electrical fuel pumps but Bosch I bought both my pumps, and lots of other Bosch parts from Parts in Motion on Ebay . And they are genuine Bosch dealers . There are two 12 volt pumps on the M103 ,but you will only need one pump .

Yes I've removed the relay jumped the sockets and just got a hot wire so I've ordered a new pump to be on safe side until I can get it over a pit but I would imagine that the eight years I've been renovating it the pump has seized as there's been no fuel in it since I've had this off the road I'm sure glad I never got rid of my Volvo 850 been a good car for collecting parts from scrap yard even a visit up to dronsfield

I envy you .. Volvo i had was a fantastic tow car for my caravan .
You could squirt some fuel in the throttle to see if it would start that way .

Yes I did that with air intake that's what turned my attention to the fuel pump as it will fire up
