Fuse #3 help needed please

Friend has CLK 2008 convertible. He has a slow battery drain issue. There is a buzzing noise audible in the boot (top RH side area) by a process of elimination Ive located the issue to fuse #3. The description states Television. However, with fuse out, the radio has no sound. Im guessing its probably the amplifier?? Has anybody had a similar problem? I dont understand why there is a permanent live feed to the offending component. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

You never told us if the radio works or not . I cant see why the amp needs 12 volts all the time unless there is a relay stuck Amp is alive all the time like the radio because it uses backup memory

Radio works fine like everything else. Ex ept when pull fuse. Radio sound only goes off. No humming/buzzing from boot area. There must be a stuck relay but without a wiring diagram I'm at a loss as to what to do next.

I would think your amp is faulty might be best to unplug it and get the unit checked out . Surely your amp as a plug on it so you can remove it/

Apparently the amp is very difficult to access.

Yes and could be damp thats caused it .Do you see any water ingress in the trunk area ?

No damp. All is clean and dry. Is there a section showing removal of amp and/or vehicle wiring diagram on this forum?

Baz just keep looking in i dont know a lot about your model its only after a search that i found the video .
