G350 with cold start misfire for 10 seconds.

Hoping someone can help.

I have a 2016 G350 that has a misfire only on the first cold start, and seem to last exactly 10 seconds. Then runs as smooth as silk.
It will not misfire again on startup until the next morning.

The only fault is for an upstream NOX sensor implausible signal. Code 111b00

Is it possible the NOX sensor could be causing the misfire ?

Could the 10 seconds be the counter time for the lambda probe to kick in and sort out the fuelling ?
Suggesting a bad injector?

How old is your battery? (And what's its health like?)
Had this out of the blue, one cold morning in my old CLS 320. Battery was original, at circa 8yrs old. Not had an issue before... sounded like a tractor on start that morning, switched it off... rang STAR reading who asked me to start it again, and it was then fine. Was advised of the battery voltage situation.

The battery is new, it’s not a slow crank, starts just fine, but runs rough only for 10 seconds, when cold, will not do it again until the engine is stone cold.

Same symptoms as the CLS had, but if your battery is new...

NoX sensor not related.

Check the usual things like plugs and cool packs. Find the cylinder that's misfiring and go from there.

+1 for alexenderfoti - check plugs and coil packs initially. What mileage are you?
