G500 front SAM unit number issue

2004 G500
I have a 2004 G500 with vin number WDCYR49E73X140468. My front SAM unit number is 463 540 08 50. If I replace with a front SAM unit with number 463 540 15 50... Will is work as normal. Thank you

I believe the part numbers have to match exactly.

The second to last pair in the part number often changes with part number revisions. If you contact a Mercedes parts dealer they will be able to confirm if the number you have is a supercession of the original

Mercedes are reluctant to supply info on part numbers as then shoppers go online and get elsewhere and they lose business, I would be inclined to go to a dealer with your car and vin, that way you will get the right part and updated part if any.
