Morning all,

Kid at Christmas time as I head off to GAD tomorrow for a remap on my E350 265bhp. Having looked through the forum for countless hours I finally decided to bite the bullet and book her in. Seeing the results others have gained i'm hoping for 300+bhp and 700+torque. I have been running her on Premium Diesel for the last week and have used a fuel additive to help clean out the engine all in the hope of getting those figures. I will post all results and my experience tomorrow.

I find with diesel cars, premium fuels and a good regular run, more frequent service than the advised intervals serves them best without the need for additional cleaners etc. Good luck and I look forward to the graphs.

I will be interested to see what results you get at GAD, had my C207 265bhp
re-mapped locally (Warrington) and went from 268bhp to 300bhp
and 629nm to 714nm
with before and after power runs. I can guarantee you will enjoy the drive home. :)

How do you find the driving now? my only concern was I actually like the comfort and ease of the lazy speed when the car is not in 'sports' mode, when normal driving... I don't want the car to be always trying to drop gears to rocket off as soon as I go slightly near the throttle.

I'm fairly sure it didn't need the additive but every chance I could help to get to that 300 number I've tried

These are all good - replaced recently

Cool, they get so dirty and clogged, I change mine every 2 years, 10 min job, you can buy them off E-Bay for £80, MB charge £150

Do they do performance filters for these? I have had a look but haven't found any...

Driving no probs at all, it'll pootle about around town no problems, BUT if you fancy a bit of a play, WOW it will really shift, so best of both worlds, can't see any downsides really. :)

Hi, I had my cls 350 cdi remapped by GAD , from 248.23 HP - 299.68 HP and from 605.82 Nm - 735.13 Nm. The car is far more responsive, and the torque is just…wow !! You’ll definitely smile after that

I always thought that the 265bhp 3.0ltr units were very nice in terms of performance on balance, only let down by the dim witted 7g gearbox.

When did you have yours done? The torque on the M'way is going to be fun - I believe I have my bother following me up in his GT4 Celica so will be nice to have a play mate for the drive back

Specially with the speed limiter removed, on long run, a 9g gearbox would be a nice match

Unfortunately I have to be very careful after having to pay a hefty fine and gaining some lovely points after a moment of madness one evening after being cut up joining the motorway!

On UK roads is better to don’t push the things…I’m travelling abroad every 2-3 months, trough out Germany ( more than 600 miles) and it’s the perfect place to enjoy my car, especially in the night with no traffic.
