Sorry I know this has proberly been asked a million times but I am new to the site and mercs so please forgive me Can anyone tell me how to locate the oil filter in the auto gear box and change my oil and filter and what oil and how much. My car is a 1999 w210 e300td estate auto.

Also I have a button on the centre console that I cant find in the book:- its on the left of the console and in the middle and has 2 people on it on a slide action switch ?

If you take off an oil cooler pipe, you can spin the engine to drain the torque converter for a few seconds.

Your car may have a drain plug in the converter, but they ended in 09-99

Repulsion is always a risk. Suggest you stay away from anyone with a magnetic personality and approach some common ore instead :wink:
