Galvanised body panels E320CDI

Hi, does anybody know when mercedes started galvanising body panels on the 320cdi.
I have a E320 cdi first registered in the UK 19/05/03 and wonder if it is galvanised.

Further update....E320cdi were fully galvanised from mid 1990 onwards according to MB Holland, they are completely adament about this..

They would be very very wrong then My Yr 2000 W210 E320 CDI most definitely wasn't galvanised and I don't think any other W or S 210 was for that matter.

Hmmm, well that was the info they gave me...they checked the VIN of the car and with your info in mind they double checked............and according to them my May 03 model is and all others from mid 1990...

Curious!!!!!

Mid 1990- Es probably were galvanised, but they stopped around 1998ish? and didn't start again until around 2003. I suspect they were being a bit simplistic. Certainly a 2000 E class isn't galvanised.

Are replacement wings galvanised then? I think I'll be needing 2 front wings soon as they're rusting badly.
