Garmin Map Pilot Updates

I found a german language garmin pilot program upgrade for my 2015 Mercedes Benz c300 4matic. The dealer wants me to spend another $600 for a new card. Is there anyway to put the card in a pc and update the map program for a more reasonable cost. Any suggestions greatly appreciated. Thanks

I don't have the Garmin SatNav in my car but I understood that the update was a simple web download. I don't know whether this link is any help for you:
