A friend of mine is gonna be selling his E220cdi Elegence in the next few weeks. It's on a "51" plate. Manual gearbox. Black leather. 90k miles. Full Service History. Taxed and MOT'd. It will need 2 front tyres soon.
Any body interested. Looking around £6500.

Looks like from the lack of response, no one is interested. I suspect it's the manual gearbox on a big Mercedes that is putting people off. I have a feeling that the price has to come down a bit more.

I'd also add that the 220 engine isn't the best suited one for an E class either IMO, add the manual box and its a big no-no.

I would agree with the comment about the manual gearbox, a bit of a turnoff on a big prestige car.

It's odd how things like that are perceived - the 850CSi and the ultra rare 840i's with manual gearboxes are highly sought after

Then again, the 456GTA seems to be promoted over the 456GT (manual) in the UK but it is the opposite in Australia

I also thought it was better for diesels to have manuals due to the power delivery or is that nonsense?

*imagining his S500 with a manual gearbox....nah*

I too am put off by the manual box. When I had a look inside I had a bit of a moan. Only saving grace I suppose is it's a 6 speed so good mpg on a run.
Cheers guys but I think my mate on his own with this.
