Gear change module

Hi everyone

Can anyone help me ? I need a used gear shifter module. I have the part number a2032678524 and there are plenty on ebay. What I am not sure of is do all the codes on the side of my current module have to match exactly ? as there are a lot of codes alongside the part number

I would appreciate someone's expertise please.

Hi and welcome to the forum. I'm not an expert but have had some experience with 'Selector position implausible ' error on my W211. Someone on here posted a list of compatible shifters, all starting a211 but followed by different subsequent numbers, with the comments that they were upgrades, however, there seen to be exact matches to yours on eBay.

In the end, I found an exact match, but that turned out to give the same error, so, while I had that one, I opened up mine and resoldered the suspect joints before returning the replacement for a refund

Yes, you can repair them easy enough with soldering the joint that lifts of the solder
