Hi,
We've had my wife's mercedes c class sports coupe for about 18 months now, its an automatic 180.
It went in for its first service about 6 weeks ago and just recently the gear change has been playing up.
Sometimes when your slowing up, almost stopped but then accellerate again its like it can not select a gear and it just revs up. We have to come to a stand still to get it to engage again. Also after this usually happens it seems not to want to change gears at all, it gets stuck in some gear, must be a higher one as its very sluggish to move off and its showing high revs at 40 mph.
To remedy the problem we have to come to a complete stop and restart the engine, it has always work correctly after do this.
Any ideas what the problem might be ?
Of course we will speak to the garage where we got it from but thought might be worth checking here first to see if there something I can do myself to correct the problem.
