Can any one help me solve this problem with my E220 CDI 1999, please!

The car dirves well in the morning when it is nice and cold untill the engine gets hot 9 (above 80 C) Then it starts to get more rave (RPM) when changing betwenn 3rd and 4th gear and after driving a while it goes to emergency mode? Is there any thing wrong with control unit? Or any other connection with engine or Air Mass Sensor?

thats a good poss the ETC eletriconic tramission control unit feeds of imfo from engine control via the cam-bus, anytime the engine suffers from a fault the g,box goes into limp to save any harsh thrashing of a poss ill engine, if it was air-mass you would know cause car wouldnt have no power at all from cold through to hot and would be cutting out and EML light on dash would be on, quiet few poss faults there you really need to get it into a dealer when it happens without swiching it off so fault stays currant...

Thanks a lot for your time and your kind help. I took it to the dealer in London and they changed the Air Mass Sensor, Man.Air Flow Sensor, brake switch and they topped up the gear box Oil. They also removed all the strored faults and reset the ECU. The car drove pretty good for two days with no problem. All of a sudden it starts to go back to emergency mode. It also smokes badly. Dark cloud of smokes. The smoke is black and not blue. They told me the injectors are gone and needed to be replaced. Now, I start not to trust them coz if the injectors were faulty, I should get a Fault Signal on the dash or at least it would appear on the diagnostic sheet. The diagnostic under Common Diesel Injectors says " Stop Swith Plausability". There is no other fault under CDI diagnostics. The fault in Gear Box says the gear slips the ratio is high. I am really confused with what they say and what the diagnostic applies. I really appreciate your comments on that.

to break it down, yes correct fault code for low oil level, not unknown for boxs like the odd drop of oil, sorry but no you wouldnt get dash warning if injectors were faulty, put post on here last night on how to test injectors "at home" see if you can find it if not let me know and i will talk you through it, yes as said last time all control unit are connect via a can-bus, "commucation area network" the bus being the interface beteen units, the main fault for brake light swich would have started in ESP and yes would be in engine and transmission control, so there are correct there, as for injectors yes you would have smoke etc but it would only be one poss 2 of em...hope some help....
