I have a 190e 90(h) any one out there have any ideas where i can get a short throw gear lever from.

or if not how I can take off the gear knog and change it for one that sits a little lower

Don't like the shift throw distance it's a little to long for my liking

gear lever???

Bit of a naff way to do it, and will no doubt be frowned upon by the experts, but you can just remove the gear knob and hacksaw off some of the shaft, and replace the knob. it wont look bodged, as any cut marks will be covered by the knob.

gear lever???

I found out how to take off the existing knob and you are left with a stub about 2.5 inches I can get a thing on but you are left with an extremely short gear stick it doesn't reach over the handbrake lever

gear lever???

I don't claim any great technical knowledge, but I would have thought that shortening the gear lever might make the change heavier, as you're going to lose leverage. I think shortening the throw of a gearbox is a fairly serious bit of engineering, which isn't worth embarking on.
