Gearbox codes

Hi people, new to this forum, could really do with help, I got a cla 45 2014 recent new diff now gearbox has gone, basically clunking into gears, mercedes diagnosed faulty gearbox, can any one tell me do I have to match exact codes on gearbox, here's what I got of mine. 2463706302 0 0415934 05 724015

I would be inclined to get the car to a gbox specialist. Merc will happily rape your wallet for a new box and a rebuild will be much cheaper.
Its very unlike MB boxes to fail unless not serviced and even not at 8 years old.

The car must have been really driven hard in the past for it to need a new diff and now the gearbox showing faults

You do need to match the gearbox type 724.015. (K7X400)
As above, I'd be inclined to find either an independent Mercedes specialist (indy) or gearbox specialist and have your own transmission diagnosed and reconditioned. Getting a s/h one from a breaker or ebay won't guarantee its condition internally.

Hi mate, what does the k7x400 mean. Ov found a replacement box with the 724015 but it's from a 2017, would that fit

It's just part of the code for your transmission.
Any year 724.015 will replace your gearbox.

The last one is the one you want. 724015 = 724.015
