Apologies if this is not the correct forum to post in I am a new member. I have a 1999 c200 esprit estate and it have developed a problem with the gearbox, when put in Park it then struggles to come out of Park it can take any time between 2 mins to 20 mins before it will suddenly release itself and go into Drive, so I am leaving it in neutral (which is not ideal as I have to leave the key in) as it works fine going between neutral, reverse, drive and it changes through the gears happily when driving. Has anyone get any idea as to what the issue could be?
