Gearbox Problem

Anybody got any ideas why my car slips out of 1st gear with a LOUD bang just when im taking off (not jumping the clutch by the way) Maybe a Synchro or something?

Sounds like a worn selector or synchro hub. I had a similar problem on an old Land Rover, it used to jump out of second on the overrun. Gentle acceleration helped, and holding it in gear

Only an MB dealer can supply these bits, I will try and find a reference number
