gearbox problem

hi members,
i have a mercedes e27ocdi which i recently purchased. unfortunately the auto gearbox is giving me problem,sometimes the car changes gears very quickly at lower revs, it feels very rough as the car jerks because of this the engine noise has increased as well. it is 2003 model merc.
please help by giving your suggestions.

Hello, do a search for threads about coolant contaminating the gearbox oil. It sounds like this could be your problem. It is quite common unfortunatly and can be expensive to put right.

Yes, you're looked for posts titled 'Valeo Radiator Problem' or with 'Glycol' or 'Glycol Contamination' in them. I don't know defiantly that the E class is affected but I think so. If Ellsy says search then it's likely you could be affected.
