Hi everybody.

I'm looking for some help and hope you may be able to point me in the right direction. I've had my 02 model E320 Auto for around a year and have covered 30,000 miles- no problems so far.
However, I was driving around town today and even though the gear selector was in 'D' the car suddenly started coasting (like it was in Neutral). I pulled over, stopped the car and re-started it.
When 'D' is selected, it shows 'R' on the dashboard display, but does move forward! However, it will not move out of first gear in 'D' so I can't drive it above 25mph!! Is there an electronic control unit for the Tiptronic auto box possibly causing this malfunction?

I look forward to hearing your ideas!

Thanks
Richard.
