Gearbox service

Hi MB forum,
I wanted my local garage to do a service on my gearbox.I have a 2014 mercedes e220d estate,7 speed auto.Any advice on buying the kit please.There are quite a few options that say they fit but i am not sure they do ?

Buy the kit from a dealer . Average price for the service is £200 -£220 all in. That's with a garage buying the kit also from mb.

I would have it done by an indy, get a full flush as well, I paid £200 for my 7G box

Go to an MB Indy that knows what to use , I’m not sure I’d go to your local garage unless they had done it before ?

You could also go to your local Wighty ATF change specialist.

So. you'll know all the short cuts and the best way to do the job, therefore the cheapest, no?

ignore the bants pal but do head the advice , take it to an independent, if its more than 250 quid find another one , ive done this job off my back with the car on ramps so its not rocket science, just needs care and use of the correct refill procedure
