Gearbox swap?

I've got a '96 E320 with the old 4-speed auto transmission. Is it feasible/possible to "upgrade" to the 5-speed electronic box?

Unfortunatly its not possible to fit the the .6 box as a direct replacement. there are serveral dfferences in the electronic operation ie transmission control unit, gear selector module, can bus data link. anyhow the .5 is a superb gearbox
