Can anyone advise how I find what gearbox number my car has?

No it's not a manual, however your Transmission oil sticky does state the 722.6 has not been used since 1997, my car is a 2006 W203. Are we sure it's the right model?

I think that your box uses the 722.699, this box is still current, and the only other one is the 7G box.

My sticky list is from 08-05

Mine is from December 2005 & has the 722.699 box, yours should be the same.
