Gearbox w/s switch

I'm after the switch assembly for the gearbox. The little black switch on a W210 that controls the gearbox mode, W or S. Just the switch, nothing else.

Anyone know if theres a part number for just that switch, and not the entire thing?

Hello Parrot, like all these console switches its all one lump, even today they use the same practice on my SL.

This has been on going with these switches for years. If I had a spare panel I should be able to work out a mod for a new switch, and try and fit a micro switch in its place. It could even be done by using a glass read switch (proximity) and a magnet on the end of the knob.

It only a low current, single poll thing

Most of the problems with those switches are due to dirt/spillages. Switch cleaner is your friend

No the electronic part of the switch is fine. It's the switch itself, which is clipped into the housing for the displye (D N R etc). The spring is broken so it keeps rebounding to S, which is ok but I'd like it to work correctly.

Could you replace the spring if you had one
