Gears stuck

Hi guys,

I have read a lot of threads this evening about auto gears sticking on the 210. I am a taxi driver and it has happened to me tonight, what with a bumper few days work ahead I am looking to see if there is anything I can try until the garages here open on Wednesday. (Yes here in Northern Ireland we close Mon Tues, can't think why).

My car is a E320cdi 210 - Just came out of my mates house and noticed after about 300 yards that the car wasn't changing gear. Not sure if it was stuck in 1st or 2nd. I stopped the car and switched it off but alas no joy.

Just recently had work done on Wed to replace switch that stuck my gear lever in Park, and fix a rear door that had a leak preventing it from opening.

Also on Thurs had an A service brake pads all round and atf topped up changed or whatever the mechanic does.

Drove the car for 200 miles last night after the service and it was going like a dream.

No faults coming up but airbag light on and has been for a while.

Any thoughts? Much appreciated

I think that you have the same problem as in the above thread, either conductor plate (Fault code read out) or the centrifugal governor

This is the same car as yours.
