Getting new alloys

I want to get new alloys for my W124 300E Merc.

The question is that I don't know what I can get.
Can someone explain PCD, Offset and C/Bore.., and also
What can I adjust, and what's can't I.

Do we share the same dimensions as any other car/s?

7 x 15" ET37

tyresave from 315 a set.

PDC is the distance between the bolt holes (112 mm), the off set/ET is nearly impossible to explain without a chart! (its like the off-side rule ) But I belive ET37 should fit a w124 fine.

alloy wheels - offset figure

The offset - i.e. the distance from the dead centre of the wheel (in section) to the inner face of the rim - on my E320 1994 estate is 48mm.

If I were to fit a wheel with a smaller gap i.e. an ET of less than 48mm. then this will bring the inner face of the tyre closer (by the amount of the size decrease) to the body and suspension mountings with the risk of them rubbing as you drive or as your suspension goes up and down.

If the ET gap is bigger than 48mm. then you take the outer edge of the tyre closer to the inner face of the wheel arch and the tyre could then rub on that in motion or as the suspension works up and down.

Thanks Mike, But my Merc has 16" wheels.., so wouldn't want to go down to 15's. Do they sell 16's?

I think (not sure) that VW Commercials, eg T4, wheels fit.
