Glow Plug Dash Light

Can anyone tell me why the Glow plug light on my 1996 208D van comes on after the engine has started, stays on for about 30 seconds before going off, it doesn't come on when i turn on the ignition, also does anyone know where the glow plug relay is? Thanks! Steve!

Glow plug off, nowt to do with the relay.

It is easy to check which ones(s) are down, using continuity test. However you may as well change the lot while you are in there.
