glowplug light

The light on my c220cdi extinguishes as normal, engine starts, and light comes back on and stays on for a few minutes. What does this mean and how do i fix?

Sounds like your glow plugs need replacing. I had a similar problem with my C250TD recently.

Hi Dave
I have just had the same problem on my
E220cdi.
The glow plugs are definitely the culprit,
One or more are defective and will need to
be changed. Each one will cost around £12
plus fitting, about 1 hour labour for the 4.
I took the advice of the merc specialist I use
In Uxbridge and changed all 4 as the labour
Charge is almost the same as it would be to
Just do 1.
