Hi,

Hope everyone is is well during this global pandemic!

I have just purchased a non runner E320 m104. Which initally had fault code 24

Ovp relay and crank sensor has been replace with new parts.Car has fired up and driven for about 20km then parked up over night. The following morning it is cranking but wont start and is now giving fault code 24 and 25.I have checked the loom which is in good condition(no bad insulation on wirers or breaks).

Other things I noticed midway thru my drive is the EXH TEMP lamp would come on and car would attempt to cut out.Idle speed is at 1500 when hot and Cruise control doesnt work.

Any Ideas would be great.Thank you

What's the full chassis code? It will be the first 6 numbers of the VIN number.
E.g. 124034 will be 124.034.
It helps get the correct meaning of the error codes.

Ok so 124.032.

Not in my list unfortunately but 124.034 is as is 124.030.

124.030 is continuous injection and code 24 is unused.

Therefore using 124.034 and
assuming you're looking at pin 4 to read the codes (LH sequential injection) that would suggest the cam magnet gas a short in either the wiring or solenoid.

I have been using pin 8 to look up codes.will it cause the vehicle not to start?.I was under th impression it would start but not perform if there is can sensor issues

Pin 8 is for HFM for 104.111 engines.
If that's what yours is it suggests crank sensor (24) and cam sensor (25).

Have you cleared codes to see what comes back? If it comes back they are still a problem.

Yes,they still come back after 4-5 rotation of engine.Do you know if these vehicles will start up with the CAM sensor disconnected?
