I have mentioned this before, but decided to make a modification. I do not understand the reasoning of the rain drain above the battery having a gap of a couple of inches above the drain hole, so that the water runs into the battery tray and some of it then does not drain away and sits around the battery.
So what I have done is get a plastick funnel. Shape one side flat with a heat gun and the put it into the drain hole so that the water from the drain tray runs into it and out of the hole. see photos. I have not tried it out yet, but I may make a hole in the funnel tube level with the battery tray so that any water that does collect there will still be able to get out through the drain hole, but I will look at that later.
Is there something that I am missing on the way that the drain has been done like this or is this modification a good idea?
