Anyone know where I can get hold of a good manual for my 560SEC 126, something along the lines of a Haynes type(dont seem to cover 126s)

Your best bet would be the AMERICAN factory manual on CD. You can pick one up for £10-15 on ebay for a bootleg or go to www.mercedesshop.com for the genuine article at the genuine price $157.95 :? . I think the mercedes-benz owners association web site shop/manuals section has some printed manuals also for about £50. dont know how comprehensive they are. :?
