Finally! Got a lovely 2001 in dark blue over grey nappa, lovely condition, in dash 10cd and parking sensors! (Well its a big deal for us anyway.. )

Will post more details when we pick her up. And loads of questions!

For now we need to get the very 'new money' 18" AMG wheels off it and back to the OEM 5 spoke 'upgrade' 17's. Apart from 18's ruining the ride and emptying my bank account at new rubber time, my insurance company have got a bit frothy over them, as they are a 'modification'. Hmm.

I have posted in the tyre and body forum, but need to know where to get these original wheels or how to identify the correct factory items ASAP.

Your insurance company don't sound very helpful. These could have been original factory order as quite a few came out on AMG wheels (mine included). You can check that on the russian vin decoder site. I swopped for standard 16" Avantgarde 5 spokes when I bought the car.
As for replacements there are quite a lot of 210 wheels on Ebay, just check that they are suitable for Mercedes and that the offset is correct for your car (ET No. stamped inside the wheel) You can check the wheel fitments on this site - http://www.mercedeswheels.net/

Indeed, although these are W211 E63 wheels, so never fitted to a 210.

I'll phone the insurers tommorrow, but I guess they are wanting wheels that would have been fitted to 210's as standard. Which is a pain cos we pick the car up on Saturday.

I'd probably live with the big AMG's - they're nice enough and on new rubber -if they weren't apparently worth £400...each.
